Learn more about our company.
Midwest Welding & Manufacturing (MWM) has been a family-owned business in Reeseville, WI, for over 75 years.
Founded in 1945 by three brothers as Jakel Company, it began as a welding and blacksmith shop before expanding into plumbing, heating, and feed mill equipment. By the 1960s, the focus shifted to agriculture, leading to the fabrication of feed and grain equipment. In 1969, Jakel built its first bulk feed body truck—over 800 have since been produced nationwide.
In 2003, the Jakel family sold the business to Jon Schrock, who renamed it Midwest General Repair & Fabrication and continued serving the agricultural industry while maintaining the feed truck division. After 20 years, Jon sold the company in 2022 to Jay “Zoom” Neuman, a grandson of the original founders.
Today, MWM specializes in design, fabrication, and repair of feed and grain equipment, while also taking on custom welding and projects in construction, food processing, agronomy, ethanol, and power plants. Despite new ventures, MWM remains committed to supporting local farmers and small projects—and looks forward to serving you.
